Our History
Our story began in 1919 when McEldowney & Son Electrical Contractors was founded. John W. Shawver joined the company as an electrical engineer and construction supervisor in 1947 and acquired the company's interest in 1954. After John W. Shawver II returned from military service in Korea, the company's name was changed to Shawver & Son, Inc. in 1956. The company has since grown under the leadership of John W. Shawver III, Dan Cheatham, Chris Schoolcraft, and Norman Barnett, who have all served as president.
