Our History
Founded in 1950 by Donald L. Barrigar and Howard Smith, Acme Electric Company has grown to become a leading electrical contracting company in the Cedar Rapids-Iowa City Corridor. With a strong family legacy, our company has been family-owned and operated for three generations, with Jackson Barrigar taking over as President in 2021.
