At the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 405, we have a long history of advocating for the rights of electrical workers in eastern Iowa. Chartered in 1911, our organization has been dedicated to promoting safer working conditions and improving the quality of life for our members.
Our Mission
Our mission is to protect and serve the needs of our members, while promoting the values of fairness, equality, and solidarity. We believe that every electrical worker deserves fair compensation, safe working conditions, and access to training and benefits that will help them excel in their careers.
Our Services
As a union representing over 700 electricians in eastern Iowa, we offer a range of services designed to support and empower our members. These services include:
- Apprenticeship Programs: We offer apprenticeship programs for aspiring electricians who are eager to learn the trade and embark on a rewarding career.
- Training and Education: We provide ongoing training and education to help our members stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques in the industry.
